Domestic Violence Services
SAFE PASSAGE EMERGENCY SHELTER
24-HOUR CRISIS INTERVENTION HOTLINE
(301) 731-1203
The 24 hour hotline often serves as the first point of contact to CCSI for individuals who are seeking help, support, and information. Our staff is available to help individuals in crisis discover the skills and resources that they need to allow them to develop solutions to maximize self-sufficiency.
Domestic Violence Chat Line:
The program operates a chatline staffed by trained advocates who offer immediate crisis intervention,
emotional support, and information to individuals experiencing victimization. This confidential service provides a
vital lifeline for those in distress, offering compassion and connecting survivors to relevant resources and
services. This service is available 8am to midnight, daily on our website
Survivors Initiative Program:
This Community-Based Program extends support beyond crisis intervention, offering ongoing assistance
tailored to the specific needs of survivors. This may include advocacy services, safety planning,
relocation/financial assistance and referrals to partnering agencies for legal assistance, counseling, support
groups and other additional supportive services.
Lethality Assessment Program:
CCSI partners with Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence, Law Enforcement and other Community
Organizations to address the heightened risk of lethality associated with Intimate Partner Violence. This
evidence-based screening tool helps identify individuals at risk of serious harm or homicide and facilitates
immediate safety planning and intervention to mitigate these risks by connecting victims directly to CCSI, the
Domestic Violence Service Provider for Prince George’s County. Our organization additionally offers
Trauma-Informed Training to local law enforcement personnel to enhance their approach when assisting victims
of intimate partner violence. Collaborating closely with law enforcement and other community partners, the
program aims to prevent further violence and protect survivors from harm.
Financial Freedom Program:
Recognizing the economic barriers that often accompany victimization, the Financial Freedom Program
empowers survivors with the resources and skills necessary to achieve financial stability and independence. This
may involve financial counseling, budgeting assistance, savings match program and financial assistance with
onboarding for new employment and opportunities to further education. This also includes referrals to
partnering agencies for job readiness training, employment placement services, and access to microloans or
grants for economic empowerment initiatives.
